On this 15th day, I am thankful for my sisters I’m not sure how so many others can get along in life without them! I always tell Nic if we have a girl we are trying until we get another. She can’t be alone in that respect! They are wonderful because you can always be yourself. No fooling you there. Whether its to joke, cry or listen, we can take it and dish it back. I have TWO! How lucky can I be? You have no idea and words can begin to describe it. My life would be incomplete without them. Thank you Lord for giving them both to me. Please help me to be there for them like they are for me!
Day 14
I’m thankful for owning my own business. I am able to have extra freedoms so I can spend time with my son. Although the level of responsibility is quite high, this must be the path God has for me. I love what I do! Dear Father, please continue to show me the path you want me on and help me lift up others through my work.
Day 13
I am forever thankful for motherhood! This time last year I wasn’t a mother (or at least I didn’t know quite yet!), but it wasn’t too long after that. This new role the past year hasn’t been easy, however it’s THE best job one could have. In fact, I hate to use the word job when privilege is much more fitting. I am looking forward to more countless nights of sleep, gobs of runny noses, millions of kisses, billions of hugs and endless “I Love Yous!”. Dear Lord continue to lead me to be a Christ-filled mother and always offer my praises to you for ALL that I have and every opportunity you send my way!
Day 12
My thankfulness is for the ability to help others, I’ve always been drawn to doing. Maybe it’s due to being the oldest child and always asked to do so. Maybe its because I was raised to be compassionate. Either way, I’m glad to be there for people in need. It can be the tiniest acts or a large project. I pray that the Lord continue to guide me to those in need and to utilize my talents to best help who you see fit.
Day 11
My thankfulness today is dedicated to the military men and women who have served our country and who continue to serve. Without their sacrifices, I wouldn’t be entitled to all the freedoms that we have. May the Lord continue to shine down upon them and their families!
Day 10
My thankfulness today is for family. I am grateful for the support I receive from them, big and small. Their love never ceases to amaze me and the countless acts of sacrifice help me get through many days I might not otherwise. I pray that I am able to return the favors when I am needed. Heavenly Father may you continue to guide me in ways I can be of assistance to my family and provide them with showers of praise for all the times I am able to lean on them.
Day 9
I am thankful for having a career that I enjoy. Not only do I get to help others, but I can have fun while doing it! Many people today don’t get to say the same or have a job at all. Dear Lord, help me to always see the positive aspect of work and be prepared to assist others the best I can.
Day 8
I am forever thankful that I have a daycare I completely trust to watch over my precious child. I don’t have to worry for one second about his safety or how they will care for him. It is very reassuring and frees my thoughts so that I can achieve what I must at work. To top it all off, it seems as though he thoroughly enjoys going there too. Dear Lord, thank you for the wonderful people who care for our little ones. May you bless their hands as they love, support, and nurture our future generation.
Day 7
I am most thankful today for my faith in God. Not only does it carry me through some days of trial and doubt, but it provides a peaceful sense of hope. Of course, it is an important area that at other times may need strengthening but I can trust in the Lord that I will be seasoned during His time and His way. Thank you Lord for drawing me into you and help me set an example for my children and husband.
Day 6
Today is definitely a day of thankfulness for safe travels. As we headed home from a fun filled weekend, we spent quite a bit of time blazing down the highways. My family is so blessed that we didn’t encounter any accidents or car troubles. Obviously, my thankfulness doesn’t just end today for safe travels, it’s everyday that one of us slides into a vehicle and pulls away from their house. May the Lord watch over us when we are traveling, whether driving or as a passenger.
